Passionate about rugby.

1.
As the sun rises,
I'm out of bed.
But only to hear,
"Get into your rugby gear!"

2.
I chuck on my shorts,
Slide in my socks.
Jump in my boots,
"Ready to rock"

3.
We rock on in,
To Victoria park.
Find our team,
"Right ready to start"?

4.
As we gather our team,
All fiery and mean.
We chuck on our jerseys,
Aiming not to stay clean.

5.
We warm up,
Stretches are key.
Go for a team run,
Because teams, not just about me.

6.
We talk over our plan,
Rearing to go.
Time to start,
"Lets go bro"

7.
We run on the field,
Behind our captain Kyle.
Ref blows his whistle,
This, is were it all begins.

Cable Car

As we witnessed the arrival of the the cable car, after 20 minutes of a grueling walk in splattering rain, we finally climbed aboard the cable car and were on our way to the Carters Observatory. As we each found a seat, we all heard a voice come from the drivers end of the car saying, “Everyone get comfortable and get ready for a nice relaxing ride up to your destination”.
At that moment each of us heard a screech as if we were on our way. We were in fact on our way and starting to climb a brutal ten minute climb to the top of the hill, to the Botanical Gardens and the Carters Observatory. About three minutes passed and we entered our first tunnel.
‘WOW, look at that, we are in a tunnel!’ I heard as Jackson and Derek pulled up against the window to examine the situation.
After five or so minutes we saw another car was approaching from above ours. We quickly changed tracks to let the other car go by on the way to the bottom of the hill.

Conspiracy 028

1 February
28 days to go.

Today was going to be a special day for the Sandbrook family, because today was the day of the big revealing of "Fisher the Rod", the best fishing rod in the history of fishing rods. I guess the description of this rod was, coushoned leather grips, thick unforgiving nylon and the rod was... well no one could actually describe this part.
Anyway, the great revealing was held at the coloseum. Every one in the city, country and even the world would be there to pay millions on this one and only rod.
The Mum of the familly was out to pick up her dress from the dry cleaners and Dad was out to buy some nice shoes. Everything thought so calm and quiet

Castle Story

On one dark spooky night, two brave knights were on a quest to save a princess, from a medieval castle. The two brave knights, Huntah and Zahn, had only a water bottle, two metres of rope, a knife and a packet of matches. They both have to fight for food and civalizastion.
On their second day the two knights, with their shinning silver armor, dashing good looks and the strength of a sabor tooth tiger, both started on their jet black stalions, ( Paycee and Ian ) at dawn to try and make up a bit of time. Two hours had passed now and with having used the rope and water, now is the time to find more supplies. At this point it is life or death. One mistake could end everything.

While galloping through the forest, Zahn stops in frustration.

"How is there absolutely no water around? We have looked everywhere!" he screeched. But while listening into the forest for a minute, out comes a distinct sound. It is almost like there was a spring near by.
"Not quite," whispered Huntah with a grain of hope in his voice.
By midday, both had found the spring on the edge of a rocky bank. "You're kidding me"!! Zahn shot over to the spring, Huntah tried to stop him, but it was too late.

To be continued....

Without looking how slippery the rocks were, Zahn was almost there. He slipped on a rock and fell back, with his helmet falling off he smacked his head fiercely on the same rock, , , , everything went quiet, know one talked, know one blinked and know one what so ever, moved, one, bit.

Something was terribly wrong. Zahn was not moving at all. Tears were starting to drip from Huntah's eyes......

Skiing description.

Excruciating day at the mountain.

Waking up to an excellent day made me think that the weather couldn't be any more perfect.
I jumped out of bed and skidded round into the kitchen  getting into to a bowl of cereal scoffing it down like it was life or death.
While getting ready, we hear a car storm up our driveway. We look outside and it was Mrs Fielder, Zahn and Amber. I rush outside to them and gave them a nice big welcome and good morning.
One by one Tyler, Mum and Kealee trotted out the door to say hello.
Tyler and I stumbled over to help pack all of the bags into the car, then after Mum defrosted the windows we hit the road to pick Jaycee up on the way.
By the time we pulled up to Jaycee's house, we had found him standing in the doorway waiting. He quickly chucks his bags into the car and lunges into his seat. Once again we hurtle into action on our quest to get to the mountain and have a great time.

We have been on the road for just over half an hour, and we decide we would like to listen to a talking book CD that Mrs Fielder bought. It's called Alfa force written by Chris Ryan, it's about a group of five teenagers having to fight there way through tough rain forests, hunters and beastly snakes and Commodo dragons.

We finally reach Ohakune, to have morning tea and a good stretch. We pull into the car park  leap out of the car and race over to the others to see how there drive went. Zahn, Hannah, Charlotte, Jaycee, Brooke and I Marched on and over the bridge to see what was on the other side. We find that there are monkey bars and a little half pipe for bikes, scooters ans skateboards. After having a good look we are told we need to go back over the bridge and get going up the mountain.    Everyone of us slides back into our cars and click on our seat belts getting more excited for the 15 minute climb up to what looks to be a big slop of vanilla ice-cream.
The seven of us have a chat about what would be the first thing we do on the snow. Three of us said get the feel of skiing back, and the other four said we were going to throw snowballs at each other.

We end up parking our car in the top car park along with the other cars and get out with a big rush of excitement.
We all slide open the boot of the car and get our bags out. Amber, Mrs Fielder, Mum and I whipped on our ski pants, jackets and gumboots all ready to walk on up to the rentals. The seven of us ran on up to the rentals to get our gear. Then realist that Tyler forgot his beanie in the car. Mum ran back to the car to get the beanie while we go get our gear. We open the door and walk in to meat up with our classmates and other parents. An instructor tells us to put our shoes and gumboots into a wheelie bin for safe keeping. She tells us to take our cards to the desks and the people will hand over you boots, helmets and skis/snowboard.
I quickly whip out my card and go straight to the laddie at the snowboard boot counter, I hand over my card and she walks to all of the boots and finds my size. She jogs back to the counter, hands me the boots, and tells me to only put one boot on, so that the guy at the board counter can work out what size board I need. I say 'thank you' to her and walk over to the chairs to put on my boot. As soon as I put on my boot, I marched over to the snowboard counter.
Once again I whip out my card and give it to the guy at the counter. He asks me to give him my boot. I gave it to him and jogged back to the boards and picked out a blue and black board. I say 'thanks' to him and I walk back to the chairs to put my other boot on beside Jaycee and Tom. My other fellow snowboarders.
After five minutes of struggle helping Jaycee put his boot on, I finally got to take me and my board out side and get going on my exciting day snowboarding.
I zap on my board and race down to the beginner slope to get my feel back into gear. The first run I slid over a couple of times and jumped on the magic carpet to take be back up for my second run. I meet up with Jaycee and see how he was going. I found that he was struggling a bit, so I gave him a few tips and showed him how to stop. He follows safely behind me and meet's up with me again on the carpet. We get off at the top and Mrs Fielder comes and tells me that Mum was taking the intermediate skiers and boarders up to park lane  the first chairlift. Hannah, Charlotte, Zahn, Amber,Tyler, Brooke, Mrs Fielder, Mum and I all hopped on the chairlift and made our way up. We all jumped off and everyone went to their lesson except for Tyler, Mum and I. We went up on the pommels and charged down together four times before finally going down park lane to the bottom. Tyler, Mum and I started racing down the slope, when suddenly Tyler raced in front of us and wiped out as quick as you can say banana. He completed a full summersult  and finished off with a face plant. Mum stopped to see if he was alright. He responded by saying, 'That was pretty mean aye', he said with a cheeky grin on his face. Meanwhile, I had carried on down the slope and was shooting down like a LEOPARD in a race to get to his food first. I had found a lump of snow and jumped up and got some pretty good air, landing soft like a feather, I stopped at a corner to wait for Mum and Tyler. While waiting two snowboarders raced past me and took my breath away at how fast they were going. Coming up behind them was Mum and Tyler looking like they have the hang of it. I pull out in front of them and sped off down the last little bit. I pick up some speed and then realize that I was going too fast. I slowed down, then out of nowhere, a skier comes out from behind and takes me out without giving me time to steady my balance  I fall back and land on my hands first landing with a crash. I see that he had carried on down the slope without asking if I was alright. I try to get up but find that I don't have any strength in my left arm. I pull my self up with my right arm and carry on down to the bottom holding my left arm in pain. I get to the bottom, put my board on the rack, go inside and sit down waiting for Mum. She rushed in the door to see if I was alright, I told her that I got taken out by a skier, and added that my left wrist really hurt and that I couldn't see properly. Everything was a blur to me. She had a look at my wrist and could see that there was a big lump on the side, rapidly it swelled up like a balloon. She gave me a sandwich and a drink. I sat on the chair feeling really dizzy and tired. Maryanne came in the door and saw both of us sitting down. She asked if I was alright, I answered her by nodding in disagreement, moaning at the same time. Yvonne came in after and said that I looked really pale. They both suggested that I go to see the nurse. They leave the room and Mum finishes her sandwich.
I had a sip of my drink and then Mum and I walked over to the clinic. We both sat in the waiting room, along with one other girl and her Dad. She crashed and heart her left wrist as well. Just after us there was a guy that had a really bad crash and had fell funny on his left wrist and had popped out to the right. He had a jacket over his arm because he didn't want to have a look. Mum and I filled out a form with my name and age, the description of the accident and our phone number and address. We all sat waiting in the same room for 45 minutes before the girl finally got taken into see the nurse. Another nurse came out with a pillow and an ice pack walking over to see me, she handed me the pillow and ice pack, picked up the form and started to ask me questions. Firstly she asked if I have any allergies  Mum replied with a no before I did, I waited for her to write some things down before asking again if I could take tablets. This time I replied with a yes. The nurse left the room for two minutes, before coming back with a syringe with pain relieve. I shot them both into my mouth and the liquid ran down my throat into my stomach. I gave her back the syringes and she walked back through the door where I would be soon. The guy sitting across the room and I were now waiting for one hour and thirty minutes. We were started to get tired sitting for a long time. I found cool looking pictures sitting on the wall like the sun setting behind the mountain.  A girl that looked about 15 years old had been stretchered in with a blue tarpolen rapped over top of her. There was a teacher that had come in with her to help her. It was her teacher, the girl was competing in a competition. They picked up a form and started to write down notes. Another different nurse came out and asked the guy with the smashed wrist to go in with her. She said she would take in his bag and jacket, he agreed that she would take his bag, but wanted to take his jacket to hold it over his hand. He stumbled through the door to get his arm looked at again. The nurse asked if we could ring the bell if another injury comes in. Just as he walked trough the door, the girl that went in previously, came back out with a plastered arm in a sling. It had been ten minutes since the girl had left. My wrist started to hurt again and Mum had a good look at it. It had looked really swollen, she readjusted the ice pack and waited again. An older laddie got stretchered in as well with her leg in splints. Mum got up out of her seat, pressed the bell, and the nurse came rushing out of the double doors to see what was wrong. The rescuer told the nurse all of the details.
Finally, I got asked to go in and get an x-ray. I sat down in a room and waited for the nurse to get ready. Mum and I were waiting for three hours now, but I hope its worth it. Mum told me to wait for her while she goes and gets her phone and some drinks for us. Just as she left the clinic, the nurse came back and took me to get an x-ray. She sat me down on the chair with my arm on the bed. She moved the machine over to the bed, and adjusted it so it would get a good look at what was wrong. I had to put the pillow and ice pack away. She got a board and put it underneath my arm. The nurse walked back around the cur ton and pressed the remote, witch takes the picture. She came back around and adjusted my arm so that she can get a better look. I was looking away in pain, it hurt so much that I almost was going to cry. The nurse walked back around the corner and took two more. Just as the nurse jogged to the computer, Mum walked back in to see me. She had sat down beside me and gave me a drink. While I was having a drink, two nurses were talking to each other about the x-ray. One of them came over and told Mum what it was. She exclaimed to Mum that it was a fracture to the distal radius. As the nurse trotted away to get the plaster, Mrs Cummings walked in and told Mum that she should go and do some more skiing. Mum told her that she needed to pay. Mrs Cumming said that Mum can pay now and that Mrs Cumming will help me a handle the paper work. Mum rushed over to the counter and payed before jogging back to her skis. The nurse walked back over again with all of the plaster. She got started by putting on what looked to be like a sock on my arm and thumb before wetting the plaster and covering my arm with the clay like plaster. After three minutes of arts and craft, I was finally ready to put my arm in a sling and be on my way to hopefully enjoy the rest of the day. While walking back to everyone else in the group, I walked by another guy that was in the clinic as well. I slowed down a bit and he looked at me and said, 'good luck mate' I nodded and said back 'you to'. After two minutes of sitting looking around, I decide to go for a walk to see how everyone was going with their skiing and snowboarding. First, I stumbled down to the beginners slope to see who was down there. As I got to where I was going I saw Yvonne, Derek and Jaycee. It looked like they were having a great time. While walking over to them, Jaycee turned around and straight away asked how it happened.
