2013 Huntah's two cameos

Camp cameo 1

INTRODUCTION

A lady named Brenda introduced us to the island. She explained to us how most baby
birds are different to their parents. e.g. baby Tuis don't have the white puff on their necks but
they have a green patch on their back. The white tuft appears as they develop over time.
The Tui's parents have a green patch on their back as they have the white puff on their neck.

CAMP CAMEO 2

THE TRIG TRACK

Two tracks were explained to us before we walked up to the top of the island to have lunch. The tracks were straight up and hard, or a zig zag and easy with a touch of hardness. The track that was straight up and hard was called the Trig track, and the zig zag and easy with a touch of hardness one was called the Wilkinson track.Mrs Fielder divided everyone into groups of five from youngest to oldest. The four older boys wanted to give the Trig track a go as it seemed like we could make it.Mrs Fielder asked Richard if he could take us up the Trig.He said yes to Mrs Fielder but said to us boys that he doesn't want any moaning the whole way.We trucked on up the trig track with a whole lot of thoughts going though our heads. We heard and saw a heap of birds, such as Weka's, Kereru's/Wood pigeons.

Trip to Whitianga

"Are we there yet? I'm hungry. How many more minutes. I need to go toilet," exclaimed Tyler.
Dad said, "Just shut the F**k up!"
"Yeah!!" Kealee had shouted.
"That's right Kealee you tell him." said Mum laughing suddenly.
"We're in Taupo, which means were approximately two and a half hours away," I said in such an annoyed tone.
"I know that, but how many minutes is that?"
"You know what. Why don't you be quiet and we will go toilet, get an ice-cream and do what else you want to do.

The Highlanders win against the Chiefs

The Highlanders win against the Chiefs

'Who's kicking off?!" said Kaia anxious to get into the game.
"They are," said Richard. There goes the whistle "My ball," I said when my team was waiting for me to take it into the mall.
"Blow over him," said Dad from on the sideline with the reserves.

10 days before my birthday, Aunty Bridget rang and told me she had bought some tickets to see the All Blacks vs South Africa game down at the cake tin. And she said that her, Aunty Fiona, Tyler and I were going. I asked when it was and she said it was somewhere in August.

Trip to the skate zone

Term 2,  Skate Zone

'You can do it'. Mum and Dad said outside of the concrete fence.
'All you need to do is tuck into the bars and lean back as hard as you can, Oh and don't let go of the of the scooter like last time.
'Now here I go' (4 attempts later) 'Ok 1 more try,' I had said to Mum while I was waiting for my mate to get out of the pit. 'Now here I go'. But just as I hit the sturdily built ramp it felt like I hit a shock wave saying that I shouldn't hold back on what I've always wanted to do. 'I'm already half way round and one more sequence and ... the breeze calmly led me into the foam,
'Yes I landed it.' 'But I can't hear anyone ... oh that's why. I'm hidden under a ton of foam.'
'Ahhh that's better now. I can see everyone.' But while I get out I hear a voice saying that I am proud.
